Doctors are performing weekly sonograms to ease Dion’s mind that everything with the twins is fine. According to Dion the nausea, morning sickness, hot flashes and 10 lbs. she has gained has reassured her that all is well.

The gender of the twins should be known sometime this month. A nanny will not be used to take care of the twins or her 9 year old son, instead, she will have support from her sister and brother-in-law.

Dion and her husband say they will not be blinded by the newborn twins so that son, Rene-Charles, will not be jealous. Planning for the future, Dion and Angelil have “frozen embyro”. Usually on a non-stop schedule of shows and touring, Dion is slowing down and taking time off to concentrate on taking care of herself and her pregnancy. Dion has sold over 200 million albums worldwide and is currently working on a new album.

Make that children. Recently it has been announced that Dion is pregnant with twins.

After several failed attempts, Dion and Angelil went the invitro fertilization route and now at age 42, Dion is expecting twins.

The couple already have a 9 year old son named Rene’ Charles. Dion is 14 weeks pregnant and is said to deliver the twins sometime in November. Angelil commented ‘ We are estatic. Celine is hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is just double the excitement’.

Sources say that after Celine gives birth to the twins that she will be moving to Las Vegas to record a new album in both English and French.

Dion and Angelil revealed that at the current time they do not know the sex of the babies but a test within the next month will be able to tell just exactly the sex of the children. They commented they wish they could wait because that is one of the exciting parts of having children.

The singer’s rep confirmed the news and Dion’s husband Rene Angelil told People on Sunday “We’re ecstatic.

Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy.

She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing.” Dion has been undergoing rounds of in-vitro fertilization to try and conceive and last year got pregnant but later lost the baby; now after the sixth round it has worked.

Dion, 42, and Angelil, 68, have been married since 1994 and have a 9 year-old son, Rene Charles.

Dion is currently 14 weeks pregnant and will find out the sex of the twins next month.

According to Harris Poll, Celine Dion is America’s favorite singer and it shows in her popularity. Not only has she won five Grammies over the years, she has achieved record sales of over 200 million. Very few singers can claim the same. Recently she completed a world tour and will be settling down in Las Vegas for the next three years, performing at The Collossuem located at Caesers Palace. Now is the perfect time for this type of residency as she will be with her twins full time as well as her nine year old son, also conceived by in-vitro.

The 41 year old singer is currently in the hospital for her fifth attempt at in-vitro fertilization. The couple is hoping this is their lucky shot but are willing to keep going until a viable pregnancy occurs. They had announced a pregnancy several months ago, but unfortunately she miscarried in November 2009.

She has remained positive throughout her struggles to conceive and simply chalks it up to life experience. She also points out that she is not the only woman who must deal with the ups and downs infertility brings. Dion had been offered a chance to sing at the winter Olympics for 2010 but turned down the opportunity because she hoping to be pregnant.

Instead of her singing talents, a docu-movie has been released that showcases her professional and private life during the last 13 months. The footage includes the family’s travels throughout the tour. She has just signed a deal for 70 performances at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

The contract stipulates that the singer will offer only 70 shows per year for three years. This limited number of performances due to the fact that Celine Dion will happen only during school holidays in March, summer and during the Christmas season.

The singer wants to give priority to her son Rene-Charles, age 9, enrolled in a school in Florida.

Celine Dion announced her return to Las Vegas on Wednesday on the Oprah Winfrey Show, whose website talks about a “hallelujah surprised you do not want to miss. Celine has been invited to the show to promote the documentary film on his world tour, which will be released on February 17 screens.

The 41 year-old will begin her concerts at Caesar’s Palace starting on March 15, 2011 and will perform 70 concerts per year over the course of 3 years.

She will be backed by 31 musicians and Dion says “I just love the big orchestra and the beautiful black-and-white movies and romance.” She has scheduled most of this stint in Vegas around her son’s school.

Dion will not stop trying to get pregnant and hopes that the next time, the fifth time, proves lucky.

Tickets for her first 54 performances at Caesar’s Palace go on sale on Friday.

None of the 70 participants were invited — they volunteered their talent to record at the same Hollywood studio under the same oversight of Quincy Jones and the song’s co-writer, Lionel Richie.

Singer Natalie Cole said; “As celebrities, we’re fans of one another, so we’re all looky-looing in there, and getting autographs and numbers.”

The people who seemed to receive the most attention and the most stares were Streisand, Celine Dion, and Tony Bennett. The opening line, originally sung by Richie, was sung by one of the newest teenage heartthrobs, Justin Bieber.

In addition to Kanye West, several other rappers got some attention as well including Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Drake, LL Cool J, and will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas.

As Quincy Jones explains, the reason rappers are being used as well as singers is that they are rock ‘n’ roll to a lot of people today and are the modern-day equivalents of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, or Paul Simon.

Dion’s husband Rene Angelil has confirmed to the Journal de Montreal that his wife is not pregnant.

The implanted embryo didn’t take. Angelil said “Both us and our doctors believed that the procedure/pregnancy took, but that wasn’t the case. We found out some days later. We were shocked. We are living the reality of the majority of couples who have to use [IVF]. The process can be long and arduous. But today, we are full of confidence. Celine is more determined than ever.”

Dion, 41, and Angelil, 67, have been married since 1994 and have an eight year-old son named Rene-Charles, also conceived through in vitro.

The couple have tried in vitro twice for their second child and are now headed to New York this weekend to see if the third time proves lucky.
