He is 58 and has had many personal problems in the last five years that have tainted his image somewhat. However, Hasselhoff is proving that he is still a great actor.

Piranha 3D was a critical and commercial success and many are expecting the sequel to be just as great. Piranha 3DD is expected to hit theatres on November 23, 2011.

In this latest episode it was reported that he had been drinking alcohol during the previous three days before he was hospitalized. Hasselhoff has denied that he has any type of drinking problem. Friends reported that they expect Hasselhoff will continue to deny his drinking issues.

His legendary drinking binges are said to last for days. Last year he landed in the hospital twice due to his on-going drinking. Friends reported that the star lives in denial of his problem. His ex-wife, with whom he has a 20 year old daughter, was recently in jail for driving under the influence. Friends are concerned how Hasselhoff, and his former wife, Pamela Bach’s situation will affect the girls. It is said that it is a difficult situation, with the family, because the two drink their alcohol and they do not get along when they are together.

The former “Baywatch” star is being eyed by a show that is said to be across between his former show, “Knight Rider” and the classic Vegas performances such as Frank Sinatra.

The 57-year-old actor announced recently while attending a “Knight Rider” festival, “I think it’s going to be very soon now that I’m back here with my own show. I have a musical show. We just performed it and it went great. We’re getting offers. I’m talking with hotels here.”

The former “America’s Got Talent” judge has been busying himself recently with the upcoming show as well as the release of his new album, which will consist of love songs. He has also been spending some time in Ireland shooting footage of castles for a PBS show.

Hasselhoff recently told the Las Vegas Sun newspaper, “I’m the busiest I’ve been in a long time. I’m going over to Germany, where my music business is still extraordinarily big. I’m recording a new romantic songs CD and for US television network PBS, we will shoot a special in the castles of Ireland, with the Celtic women dancing in unison with me.”

Pamela Bach, with whom the Baywatch actor has two daughters, Hayley and Taylor had been placed in custody and then released two hours later.

For his part, David Hasselhoff was admitted to the Cedar Sinai hospital in Los Angeles Friday night, again because of his alcoholism.  RadarOnline later claimed that the 57-year-old “Baywatch” star and judge on “America’s Got Talent” was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold under the California Welfare and Institutions Code 5150.

“David is home now and he’s fine,” attorney Goldsman told People.com of the actor’s most recent troubles.

“I am going through a really difficult time between David being in the hospital and dealing with the divorce,” she told TMZ. She was on her way to an AA meeting.

The actor, best known for roles in Baywatch and Knight Rider, was taken to hospital on Friday but no one knows yet what happened.

According to reports, the 57-year-old actor was seen “drooling” with his eyes “rolling back into his head,” when daughter Hailey made the 911 call.

David Hasselhoff has been hospitalized several times already this year, often because of problems with alcohol.

Her last hospitalization began in October when David Hasselhoff was drunk when he was taken to hospital.
