Reportedly, TV personality and CBS late night talk show host David Letterman has had a death threat launched against him by a jihadist website that is often visited by al-Qaida.

The website which is called Shumukh-al-Islam urged their American followers to kill Letterman. The reason behind this threat is believed to be over a joke David Letterman made about an accused terrorist leader, Ilyas Kashmiri, who was killed by a United States airstrike back in June of this year. The airstrike took place in Pakistan.

The threat mentioned that Letterman was Jewish, that his tongue should be cut out, and that he should be silenced forever. David Letterman is not Jewish.

Tim Flannely, who is a spokesman for the FBI in New York, said they the FBI were investigating the threat against Letterman. He also said that the FBI takes all threats seriously and will be launching a full investigation into the matter.

Letterman is not the only comedian to receive death threats by Muslim extremists. In 2010, a Muslim group threatened the producers of South Park for mocking the Prophet Mohammed.

At this time, CBS executives, David Letterman and his spokesman have all declined to speak about the death threat.

In a letter published in the New York Post, Trump tells Letterman that he is “disappointed to hear the statements you made about me last night on your show that I was a ‘racist.’ … In actuality, nothing could be further from the truth and there is nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump.”

Trump has used several of his recent television appearances (designed to promote “The Celebrity Apprentice”) to cast doubt on President Obama’s citizenship and entrance to Harvard. Many speculate that Trump’s comments stem from a plan to run for President in 2012.

During a Late Show interview with Dr. Phil, Letterman fired off some rather direct opinions about Trump. Letterman made it clear that he found Trump’s questioning of President Obama’s Harvard admission and academic achievements to smack of racism. Letterman stated that Trump owed President Obama an apology.

In his letter to Letterman, Trump stated that he was “disappointed to hear the statements you made about me last night on your show that I was a ‘racist.’ …there is nobody who is less of a racist than Donald Trump.”

Besides canceling his May 18th appearance, Trump went on to inform the Late Show that he will not be working on the Top Ten list that was also in the works.

Eva Lognoria came on the show to promote her new book, Eva’s Kitchen: Cooking with Love for Family and Friends. The author came on with a short skirt and a black blazer. She informed the late night talk show host that she wore a tuxedo for him as soon as she came onto the stage.

The wardrobe malfunction occurred when the author began to unbutton the blazer of her shirt. A simple slup up caused Longoria to bare far more of her chest than she intended to to Letterman. Clips on the Internet show the full interview. The wardrobe malfunction occurs during the third minute.

For some reasons the women that come on his show keep having “wardrobe malfunctions”. The latest victim to this trend is Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria.

Eva Longoria came on in a skirt showing off as much leg as possible with a button down tuxedo type shirt. The button that was covering her cleavage suddenly popped off.

Dave pointed it out where Eva fought with the button to cover her cleavage. Eva took it in good humor and laughed it off. Just another victim of the Letterman set.

Longoria appears on stage wearing a dark skirt and blazer, but it would appear that she is bare breasted below the low-cut upper garment. As film footage begins to roll, Longoria can be seen taking a seat next to Letterman’s desk and tugging gently at the outer edge’s of the blazer.

“Having trouble with the luggage?” Letterman asked.

Longoria laughed. Remaining composed and all smiles, she adjusted herself in the seat, and explained that it had taken her a moment to figure out what Letterman had been trying to tell her as she was entering the stage. Longoria’s breasts were attempting to make a generous, on-camera appearance.

The actress, who recently ended her marriage to NFL player Tony Parker, was in good spirits as she discussed aspects of cooking and spices with Letterman.

Writing and promoting the cookbook has been just one way that Longoria has found in order to cope with the life changes resulting from the divorce.

Saying he felt “betrayed,” David Letterman implored Brian Williams to stop doing appearances on other late night shows.

Claiming Tom Brokaw told Letterman to watch over Williams upon retiring from the NBC Nightly News program, Letterman slammed Jay Leno and John Stewart, whose shows have featured appearances by Williams.

Letterman first called Jon Stewart “funny boy,” then admonished Williams against going on “the goddamn Leno Show,” saying “I’m begging you, stop doing those shows.” Williams retorted that Stewart’s show is “the most basic of cable,” but Letterman was having none of it.

The silly segment is only one of a series of rants by Letterman against his pal Brian Williams, whom he’s calls “a loose cannon” who’s in danger of “stabbing him with a rusty knife.”

Both mock and actual battles between late night television personalities continue to benefit from the publicity they generate outside their studios.

Halderman had demanded $2 million from Letterman as hush money. He apparently had gotten part of his blackmail information from reading his former girlfriend’s diary. It included a description of the relationship she had had with Letterman who was also her boss. Letterman, in an effort to calm his affairs, disclosed, on air, that he had had sexual relationships with women on his staff. It seems, however, that his announcement, while stunning his viewers, did not lose him his audience – in fact his viewership is up three per cent from last season.

Just last year Letterman married Regina Lasko, his longtime sweetheart. Together they have a six-year-old son.

Kimmel has been relentless in attacking Leno on the air ever since Leno’s successful campaign to squeeze Conan O’Brien out of the chair at The Tonight Show. Kimmel has done his own show dressed as Leno (with gray wig and artificial chin) and bashed Leno to his face while a guest on the ill-fated Jay Leno Show. The latter event led Leno to complain in an interview with Winfrey that he felt he had been “sucker-punched” by Kimmel. Kimmel then dismissed Leno as “a tattletale,” and added, “Watch out, Oprah, don’t think he won’t take your show next.”

Letterman heaped praise on Kimmel, “I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed your participation in the Jay Leno scandal,” said Letterman, referring to current ongoing latenight soap opera we’ve all been watching. Leno now has replaced Conan O’Brien as host of The Tonight Show.

Letterman kept encouraging Kimmel to keep up the attacks even though Kimmel and Leno are friends. “He went on The Oprah Show and said I sucker-punched him,” Kimmel said. “He’s always running to tattle to Oprah whenever something happens, and I didn’t feel like I did sucker-punch him. But then I looked it up in the dictionary and it turns out I did.” Neither Kimmel or Letterman offered any apologies during the interview.

Kimmel received much attention for appearing on Leno’s old show to answer 10 questions, but turned his answers into an assault on Leno. Kimmel also did show long imitation of Leno in January, putting on a grey wig and a prosthetic chin that made him resemble a crazed looking Leno.
