United Kingdom resident Natasha Narula was banned from entering Disneyland Paris on April 1st because of her princess-like attire. Narula was celebrating her 35th birthday and decided to spend the day at Disneyland with her daughter. According to Narula she reportedly received permission to wear the costume from a Disney representative over the phone but this did not stop security from preventing her entrance from the park.

The Disney corporation has a rule that no adult is permitted to wear fancy dresses into their parks as it resembles their princess characters thus would break the illusion for children if they are mistaken for Disney staff. The rule state that no individual over the age of nine may enter with a fancy dress to prevent confusion.

What started as a fun trip to the park has ended in humiliation for this mother and daughter. She describes the experience saying “It was so humiliating being pulled aside by the security team. They said to me ‘you can’t get in here looking like that’. I was wearing a silly, puffy, sleeved wedding dress with a birthday badge and Mickey Mouse ears – I hardly looked like Princess Belle from Beauty and the Beast.” Despite the company’s policy, Narula still demands an apology.

Every little girl in America dreams of going to Disney land. For Drew, it was her time to go with her mother, Natasha Narula to visit Disney land in Paris. Natasha wanted the trip to be unforgettable for her daughter Drew, who is eight years old. Both of the girls dressed up in princess dresses, which were really a bride’s dress and a bridesmaid dress for her daughter and set off to Disney land.

Natasha was kicked out of Disney land shortly after her arrival and ordered to change her clothes before reentering for a fear that children there would mistake her for a Disney princess. The manager at Disney Land told Ms. Narula, who lives in Coventry, that Disney Land had a ban on all Adults from wearing fancy dresses into the theme park. Drew was allowed to wear her bridesmaid dress. Ms. Narula had to change back into a dirty pair of jeans and a t-shirt because she had no other clean clothes with her.

Natasha wanted to create a special day with her daughter, who loves all of the Princesses from Disney. Instead the special day turned into a wreck which ended up with her and her daughter being treated like criminals.

This is sure to be a day at Disney Land that Drew will never forget, but for all the wrong reasons.

ORLANDO, FLORIDA – Disney bus driver Fredrick Cassenas has been ticketed after an accident Saturday at the Walt Disney World theme park.

There were 19 passengers aboard the Walt Disney World bus when it rear ended a car that was stopped at a stop light. The force thrust the car forward causing it to strike the back of a van which is also owned by Disney. There were no injuries reported.

The accident is a third in a series of incidents involving bus drivers at the popular spring break and vacation resort. The first incident took place on March 23 when a Disney transport bus struck a parked charter bus. Although there were no passengers aboard the charter bus at the time eight passengers aboard the Disney bus were injured. The driver was cited by police for reckless driving.

On April 1 eleven year old Chas Brubaker was struck by a bus at the Fort Wilderness Campground on the Walt Disney World property and was killed. Police state that there is evidence that the boy first struck the side of the bus before being run over the the right rear tire of the bus. A witness statement contradicts this claim.

Another popular children’s item is having to be recalled. Apparently fifty six thousand necklaces or more had to be recalled. Wal-Mart is a part of “The Princess and the Frog necklace recall. The surprising thing is that some of the necklaces recalled were actually made in Rhode Island.

This is certainly not good publicity as Disney hopes that their new film will be a success. The important thing is that the necklaces are recalled and the FAF Corporation that manufactured them will face some sort of fine for letting these toxic necklaces out of their factory. The Consumer Product Safety Commission led by Inez Tenebaum is leading the charge on the matter. You also want to return the princess necklace and the packaging itself. Both of these items are indeed toxic, You should contact local authorities or go to the CSPC website to learn information on the recall itself. You certainly can also get your money from Wal-Mart or whoever the retailer was who sold you the necklace.

The substance contained in the necklaces which is suppose to be toxic is cadmium. If you are a parent, it isn’t necessary to throw away all Disney products in your house, but it is good to be alert.

The once hit movie studio Miramax has been closed down by its owners at Disney. The studio was started by Bob and Harvey Weinstein and gave us movies like “Chicago,” “The English Patient,” and “Shakespeare in Love.” The Weinsteins left the company in 2005 after clashes with then Disney CEO Michael Eisner.

The indie film industry is a dying breed in Hollywood. Big name production companies are slowly closing the doors to these once thriving production companies. Disney claims they are restructuring their company. The restructure cost 80 jobs between the offices in New York, Los Angeles and London.

Disney bought the company in 1993 and had an amazing run until 2005 when the Weinsteins left. The movies produced by the company earned an astonishing 220 Oscar nominations, and that was just for a handful of movies.

The new CEO of Disney Robert Iger is focusing on reducing the number of production companies under the Disney name that are not generating any cash flow. David Davis who is a financial advisor for movie investors, has stated the reason Miramax failed is because Harvey Weinstein was no longer there to nurture every film.

The Weinstein brothers have started another production company. Their most recent films released include the blockbuster “Inglourious Basterds.”

Roy E. Disney died Wednesday at age 79 after a year-long struggle with stomach cancer, said the company founded by his uncle Walt Disney.

His father, Roy O. Disney and his uncle Walt founded the Walt Disney Company in the 1920s. Walt was the creative genius of the company, while his father Roy Disney took care of finances.

“He was a great man who believed deeply in the art of animation. He put his heart and soul into preserving Disney’s legendary past, while helping to move the art of animation into the modern age by embracing new technology,” John Lasseter, chief creative officer for Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios, said in a statement.

Roy E. Disney, born in 1930, worked for the company as a writer and producer. But it is as a shareholder of Disney he had the most influence on the company.

Thus, in 1984, he led a successful campaign to oust the company’s son Walt Disney, Ron Miller. Nearly 20 years later, he was the head of another revolt by investors, which ultimately led to the departure of Michael Eisner.

The worlds most famous mouse is really getting up there in years.

Mickey Mouse made his public debut in the cartoon Steamboat Willie on November 18, 1928 -81 years ago.

November 18, 1928 is widely recognized as Mickey Mouse’s birthdate as it was the day that Steamboat Willie-the first Mickey Mouse cartoon with synchronized sound-was released.

Mickey was created as a replacement for Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, an earlier cartoon character created by the Disney studio for Charles Mintz of Universal Studios.

Over the years, Mickey Mouse has evolved from black and white to full color appearing in everything from TV shows to video games.

As a special celebration, children celebrating their own birthday on the day they visit the Disneyland theme park in California between now and Christmas will get in for free.

Happy Birthday Mickey!
