Fox News Anchor Makes December Cover of GQ Magazine

Rodney Dangerfield was famous for questioning ‘respect’ which makes one wonder what he would think about the latest news involving a network anchorwoman and her respect for her job and audience!

It appears that Fox News anchorwoman Megyn Kelly is about to grace the December cover of GQ magazine in a very questioning pose if ‘respect’ is even in her vocabulary. Critics are already claiming her unborn 2nd child deserves more respect than this from mom. Even though the photo according to Fox News was cropped for the magazine cover the real photo could become a stumbling block in Kelly’s future.!

In the magazine world it is said that GQ is an adult magazine not a ‘teen rag’!

If this is not enough, rumor mills, gossip benches and whoever is in charge of inuendo-ville are hinting of a possible affair going on between Kelly and Fox News co-worker Brit Hume.

President Obama was interviewed on the Fox network on Wednesday. The interview got tense at a point, with the interviewer Brett Baier interrupting the President on multiple occasions. President Obama defended his plan for the House to indirectly vote for the Senate bill by means of a process called “deem and pass.” The President believed that any means of passing the Health Care bill was fine with him, as long as it passed the House. The President emphasized that the procedure is not important, only that Americans be covered by the bill.

This was a rare interview granted to Fox, believed by many to be an arm of the Republican party. Brett Baier apologized at the conclusion of the interview for the many interruptions when the President was speaking. President Obama told Mr. Baier that the controversial plan for payment of Nebraska’s Medicaid was dropped, but that the so-called “Louisiana Purchase” can be applied to all states and is still part of the bill.

President Obama should be given credit for granting an interview to a network that is against all his policies. It was interesting and Brett Baier asked questions that the public wanted the President to address. It was a breath of fresh air, compared to granting interviews to people who already are on your side.

Many politicians on the Left continue to shun Fox News appearances. This cannot be said for Congressman Dennis Kucinich and President Obama. The President will appear on Fox News, to be interviewed by Bret Baier on Wednesday and it is described as an “exclusive” interview. The interview will take place on the 6 PM show Special Report.

The main topic will be Health Care Reform. Bret Baier will also try to get some information on what is on the President’s agenda for the remainder of the year. Over the past year, Fox News and the White House have not been on the best of terms. Recently, the Communications Director for the White House Anita Dunn charged that Fox was not a legitimate news network. In response to this, Fox News network head, Roger Ailes conceded that Fox displays a lot of opinion in its news shows.

In the past, the First Lady has appeared on the Huckabee Show and Fox White House correspondent Major Garrett did interview President Obama. It should not be earth shattering because the people want to see the President interviewed by a competent correspondent, no matter what network it is. Major Garrett and Brett Baier present intelligent interviews, leaving the network philosophy out of their questions.

Fox news’ coverage of President Obama’s recent push to repeal the military’s ‘Don’t Ask Don’t Tell’ policy has drawn scrutiny and criticism, but no where was the one sided coverage brought to light more effectively than on a recent episode of the comedy sketch show “Saturday Night Live”. During the opening of the show, a panel made up of faux Fox News personalities Oliver North, Greta Van Susteren, Karl Rove and Attractive Blonde Lady did battle with token Democrat Robert Gibbs.

The panel discussed the repercussions in a reactionary context that made little to no sense with choice quotes such as the one by Kristin Wiig playing Van Susteren asking “Should homosexuals be allowed to prance around our military like its Cirque Du Soilel?” Oliver North commented that gays should not be allowed to serve until “we win our two wars.” When asked when that would be, he responded “never.”

With the Attractive Blonde Lady tossing out non sequiturs like “It’s Robert Ayers all over again!” and Robert Gibbs being cut off whenever he began to speak, the spot was a well carried out skewering of the incredibly popular news network. Those who support Fox News will no doubt feel offended, while those who have a bone to pick with the right leaning channel will most likely look at the skit as nothing but cathartic.

Three new roles have been created for the upcoming second season of Glee. The show’s premier season drew rave reviews from people of all ages. It is no wonder then that the producers have chosen to tap into the large pool of Glee lovers to fill a few new roles.

The way Glee plans on filling these roles is rather non-traditional, but is expected to draw a record response from the public. They are holding online auditions for the new roles. The Fox website has posted all of the details you need to get started on your online audition.

The auditions will be open to professional and amateur performers between the ages of 16 and 26. There are more details expected soon, including who is eligible as far as past experiences are concerned.

The upcoming season has three new roles. They are hoping to fill these rolls through these online auditions. Therefore, if you are a singer and a lover of Glee, you might want to look into the details to find out how you can get your own audition. Please know that this is not an American Idol situation. Those who apply will be screened very carefully and will not be considered if they lack talent.

U.S. President Barack Obama has scheduled another address tonight but this time, instead of juggling their schedules, the four major networks are working around the speech.

Unlike for past prime-time addresses, the networks are all airing the Dec. 1 speech, which will discuss his plan for Afghanistan.

ABC have decided they will air the entire hour, while CBS and Fox have only planned for a half hour of live coverage.

ABC has bumped its two holiday specials, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Disney Prep & Landing, to Tuesday, Dec. 8.

Beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET, CBS will air repeats of NCIS and Two and a Half Men. And settle down, The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show will air as scheduled at 10.

Fox will air a special 90-minute episode of So You Think You Can Dance, but viewers in Pacific and Mountain time zones will get the full two hours.

The President will be bumping “The Biggest Loser” on NBC to a start time that’s one hour later than usual. Since it’s a two-hour edition, it’s pushing “The Jay Leno Show” right off the schedule for tonight. As for “The Biggest Loser,” the final four contestants have to run a marathon: all 26.2 miles of it.

Coverage is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. Eastern time.
