According to Locklear, “good” roles just aren’t as much fun.

Locklear stars in a new made for television thriller debuting on Lifetime Monday called “He Loves Me.” Her role is that of a adulterous real estate agent who is devastated by the infidelity of her own husband.

The former Dynasty star says she identifies with the twists and turns of the role.

According to Locklear, the character doesn’t have an affair for the purposes of revenge on her husband, as doing the right thing is usually more mentally rewarding than trying to right a wrong with a second wrong.

Divorced twice, the 49-year-old actress was previously married to Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and Motley Crue drummer Richie Sambora.

While Locklear isn’t sure she has been typecast, she does hope this role will help her obtain better parts moving forward.

In the movie, Locklear is cheating on her husband only to find out that he has been cheating on her as well. It is very certain that the bad girl antics will come out in this one just like it did when she starred on Dynasty back in the early 1980′s and when she was part of the cast of the 90′s hit, Melrose Place.

The incident, which was reportedly heard at around 4:00 a.m. Saturday morning, occurred near Locklear’s home located in Westlake Village. The incident was not reported to police until around 8:00 p.m. During their investigation, sheriffs concluded that a car jumped the curb and knocked over a no-parking sign. They later found evidence that pointed to the actress’s black BMW as the car had markings on it that coincided with the scene of the accident. Ventura County Sheriff’s Captain Eric Dowd said that Locklear was cited and released in connection with the hit-and-run incident.

Locklear is no stranger to traffic violation; she is currently on three years’ probation due to her reckless driving plea deal in 2009 in order to release her from her 2008 DUI charges. At the time of her arrest, blood tests revealed that the actress was on prescription drugs. She had to pay a $700 fine and attend a 12-hour drug education class.

Locklear currently stars in The CW’s updated version of “Melrose Place.” She fills her old shoes as Amanda Woodward.

Ava walked the runway to Bon Jovi’s “Livin’ on a Prayer” wearing designs from her father and designer Nikki Lund. Ave showed maturity beyond her years and her mother could not have been more proud. “I’m very, very proud of her. I’m very excited, and I’m here to support her,” Heather told People Magazine.

Richie was unable to attend the event due to a prior commitment, but was updated on his daughter’s progress throughout the evening. Lund sat next to Locklear in the crowd as said that Ava looked confident and professional on the runway. Others in the crowd said Ava looked to be closer to 22 than to 12, but she looked great in everything she had on. One other designer thought Ava could have a great future in runway modeling, she has not even reached her teen years yet and she was more poised and polished than models years older than her.

There is sure something to be said for her genes with having such an attractive father and mother.

To help salvage the new “Melrose Place,” the writers have decided to bring back what worked the best: Heather Locklear.

Locklear was a star on the original “Melrose Place,” where she starred as Amanda Woodward. Locklear’s character was quintessential to the original series, so the writers have brought Locklear back to reprise her role in hopes of attracting new and old viewers.

The role was the defining part for Locklear, who has also suffered some hard times personally lately. Her presence immediately transformed the original series in the 90s and the writers are clearly hoping for a similar transformation this time around.

Viewers can judge for themselves whether the gamble with Locklear paid off by watching “Melrose Place” on the CW, Tuesdays at 9.

Heather Locklear Reprises Her Role on "Melrose Place"

The 47-year-old actress reprises her role as scheming ad vixen Amanda Woodward — and goes toe-to-toe with the new hot girl in town, Ella, played by Katie Cassidy.

“Miss Woodward, it is an honor to finally meet you,” Cassidy’s PR exec bumbles. “Your article in Vanity Fair is pretty much what inspired me to become a publicist.”

Locklear says one of the biggest challenges of revising Amanda is the shoes.

“Have you seen what Ella (Katie Cassidy) wears? The shoes are insane,” Locklear said. “That’s what I’ve been wearing. And they’re very high and you should be on your back wearing them. Or on your hands and knees, whatever you want to do. You can’t walk in them. They wet down the floor a lot and you’re in these high, high shoes and there’s a lot of slippage going on and tilting over. In one of my first scenes, I had to walk and talk there and address the cast all at the same time, and you can imagine. It was all ‘You don’t know me, which is nerve-racking to begin with, and now I’m going to walk here and act like I have confidence.’”

Locklear first appeared on Melrose Place from 1993-1999.  During that time, the actress was nominated for four Golden Globes.
