Van Der Beek’s divorce to actress Heather McComb will become final next June. Their seven year marriage ended after the former couple finalized the terms last month. He officially filed for the divorce last November. It is reported that they had separated months before the petition was filed. Van Der Beek’s split with McComb resulted in more in the favor of the actor than his former wife. He will be allowed to keep the royalties from prior film and TV appearances. The alimony payments to McBomb will conclude in 2012.

Van Der Beek announced his girlfriend’s pregnacy on his Twitter page. He wrote, “Yes, it’s true – the woman I love and I are expecting our first child…currently experiencing joy on levels I never knew existed.” Van Der Beek, a former star in ‘Dawson Creek,’ is currently starring in ‘Mercy’ a new medical series on NBC. Brook, who is a former model, did not publicly comment on the pregnacy.

The couple first announced their split in June.

“They remain good friends,” his rep told Us at the time.

Friends suspected that there was trouble in paradise after they put their $2.5 million dollar Studio City home on the market back in March.

Van Der Beek, 32, and McComb, 32, wed in Malibu in July 2003 — two months after he ended his six-year run on the popular teen drama Dawson’s Creek.

James Van Der Beek is best known for his roles on the television show Dawson’s Creek, and the movie Varsity Blues.

Heather McComb has appeared in several television shows including “Criminal Minds” and “Prison Break.”

They have no children.

Van Der Beek, 32, and Heather McComb (pictured), 32, got engaged early in 2003 and were married in Malibu in July of 2003. Attending the wedding were “Dawson’s Creek” co-stars Michelle Williams, Busy Phillips and friend Soleil Moon Frye (“Punky Brewster”).

The reason for the divorce was cited as irreconcilable differences. The couple have no children.

The  “Dawson’s Creek” star filed for divorce on on Friday, November 13.

He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the separation.

Friends suspected a divorce was brewing when the couple sold their $2.5 million home in Studio City, California, in March. They put the mansion – which features 180-degree canyon, mountain and city views, and a luxurious mist cooling system – on the market.

The couple married in July 2003 do not have any children.

James, 32, has recently been in several episodes of  “One Tree Hill” and starred in movies such as “Varsity Blues” and “The Rules of Attraction.”

Heather McComb has appeared as a supporting actress in many movies and television shows including “Without A Trace” and “Prison Break.”
