Brand’s followers say that he has not posted a tweet on the site in over a month, but Perry was likely trying to completely block off her soon-to-be ex from reaching her on Twitter.

NW magazine out of Australia ran a story in a March issue that suggested Perry had been seeing another man. The article claimed the 26-year-old singer was in an intimate relationship with music producer Benny Blanco.

Perry’s team of lawyers are asking for damages to the singer’s reputation with the publication of the article.

The lawsuit was filed just hours after Perry landed in the country for her scheduled tour dates.

The magazine claimed they got their information from two sources, but Perry says she has never met the sources. If Perry wins her lawsuit, she may be entitled to a payout in the six-figure range.
