Following the Miami Heat’s defeat in Game 4 of the NBA Finals LeBron James was highly criticized for not being a large enough of a factor on the offensive side of the ball. While he nearly accounted for a triple double in the game, James only scored 9 points in the game.

Going into Game 5 most experts expected a big game by James. James ended up having a very good game by recording 10 rebounds and 10 assists, but once again he was held in check offensively as he scored only 17 points. This included having almost no impact offensively on the game in the fourth quarter as the Dallas Mavericks ran away with the game late in the fourth quarter.

Heading into Game 6, which will be played Sunday night in Miami, the Heat will have their backs up against the wall as they will need to win two consecutive games to win the title.

Lebron James, the often controversial Miami Heat superstar, took his frustrations to Twitter Tuesday night after his former team, the Cavaliers, lost in a big way to the Lakers, marking the team’s eleventh loss in a row.

“Crazy. Karma is a b****.. Gets you every time. Its not good to wish bad on anybody. God sees everything!” James wrote on his Twitter account after the game.

The Miami Heat are experiencing the second-best record in the NBA at the moment with 30-9, and are on a nine-game winning streak. The Cavs, however, now hold the worst record in the NBA, at 8-30 this season.

If Cavaliers All-Star Lebron James really wants to be a multi-sport athlete, Cleveland Browns, coach Eric Mangini has an orange helmet waiting for him.

“I think he should come on down,” Mangini said, smiling. “I know he’s pretty busy right now, but if he wants to give it a shot, the guy is gifted. He’s competitive and tough. I’m sure whatever he applied himself to, he’d probably be good in baseball or soccer or swimming.”

James, who did play football in high school as a wide receiver said that with a bit of effort and commitment, he could be a football player.

“If I put all my time and commitment into it, if I dedicated myself to the game of football, I could be really good,” he said Tuesday night, “no matter what team I was on.”

Not everyone is aboard the Labron train though.

from FoxSports:

But football can break a man. It destroyed Bo Jackson’s hip, ruining what could’ve been one of the all-time great baseball careers.

I suspect LeBron knows this and was just running his mouth when he suggested he’d like to give the NFL a try. In his excitement to talk about anything other than the Browns’ failure, Cleveland coach Eric Mangini quickly announced he’d welcome LeBron running seam routes for the Browns.

It’s too bad Cavaliers coach Mike Brown doesn’t have the necessary authority to tell James to spend his free time fantasizing about developing a consistent low-post game rather than feeding the media quotes about silly NFL dreams and Jordan’s jersey number.

Do you think lebron James has what it takes to be a pro football player?
