“He has no sensation from the nipple area down,” Hasan’s civilian attorney, John Galligan, said.

During a closed-door hearing in Hasan’s hospital room on Saturday that lasted about an hour, a magistrate ruled that Hasan be confined until his military trial, the report said.

“In the middle of this hearing, he started to nod off and go to sleep,” Galligan said. “When I’ve spoken with him, he’s coherent, but your ability to have any meaningful exchange with him is limited in time and subject.”

Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan was nearing his time to be deployed overseas when he went in the military base and opened fire on 31 people.

Army official Base commander Lt. Gen. Robert Cone stated that Hasan was to be deployed in Afghanistan and not Iraq as was stated earlier.

Authorities are in the process of searching for clues to discover what might of promoted the shooting on Thursday.

Twenty-eight of the thirty-one injured are hospitalized and the death toll has risen to 13 today.

The President spoke at the White House Rose Garden and said “We don’t know all the answers yet and I would caution against jumping to conclusions until we know all the facts.”

Obama stated that this is one of the worst mass shootings that the nation is grieving over that has taken place at a military base. An order was given by the President to have the flags flown at half-staff today for those innocent men whose lives were taken from this mad man.

Nidal Malik Hasan was an Army psychiatrist who got wounded during the shootings and is unconscious and on a ventilator in the hospital.

Ft. Hood is the world’s largest military base. It was said that many soldiers and civilians had tore off their clothes to help bandage the wounded. A lot of the people there were waiting for medical and dental exams before their deployment at the Soldier Readiness Center.

This attach has raised many questions about the base security and will investigate further on what action can be taken to maker sure this incident don’t happen again.
