According to French, after the end of series one of Roger and Val; she began to eat less and walk her dog everyday.

Ford and his brother city councillor Doug Ford rolled out an old fashioned scale in front of the mayor’s office at 9:30am for a new year weight loss challenge.

The mayor once referred to himself as 300 pounds of fun, and his brother isn’t far off that size.

The mayer hopes to shed 50 pounds by June 18th. That means he’s got about 22 weeks – or five months – to accomplish this ambitious task.

“Anyone can lose weight by going on any short term quick fix diet,” says nutrition Leslie Beck speaking to Newstalk 1010. “That’s a mistake when people go some sort of crash diet, fad diet, unbalanced diet.”

Beck thinks the Mayor should make sure to get in three meals a day with one or two snacks.

“His plan needs to have him eating at regular intervals through the day,” says Beck. “(Snacks) will keep his blood glucose levels stable, keep his energy up and prevent him from getting too hungry at the end of the day.”

“Skipping meals is an absolute no-no on any weight loss diet…It sets you up for failure later. You’re going to be overly hungry,” says Beck.

Donna Simpson, 44, weighed as much as 600 lbs and even operated her own website which charged a $19/mos subscription to viewers interested in watching her binge eat and increase in weight.

Having now lost 85-lbs on her new lifestyle, Simpson is optimistic that she can regain her emotional and physical well-being and be happy.

A firestorm erupted after her remarks. Simpson decided to cash in on her new found notoriety by starting a webcam service where voyeurs could watch her eat. Simpson has since decided to put down the fork and turn off the webcam.

She says she can no longer cater to this type of voyeurism. She has dropped 80 pounds in the past six months, relocated to Ohio, and is intent on living a healthier lifestyle.

Biggest Loser winner finally revealed

The winner in the latest Biggest Loser saga has been announced. John Rhode beat out Antone Davis and Ramon Medeiros to win the title of Biggest Loser.

In season 12 Rhode start out weighing 445 pounds, became part of the red team and was trained by Dolvett Quince. He was able to stay focused, push himself mentally and physically and drop the pounds.

By the finale Rhode lost an astonishing 220 pounds, becoming the Biggest Loser and winning $250,000. He tells Allison Sweeney in the finale that “[[he] had a lot of failures in his life and didn’t want to fail anymore].”

The three biggest loser coaches had nothing but respect for his hard work and determination. Now that he is half the man he used to be he hopes to maintain his body weight. Rhodes tells People Magazine “Now it’s time for the real game to begin at home.”

Kate Winslet Forms ‘British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League’

The stunning actress has ten-year-old daughter Mia Honey with ex-husband Jim Threapleton. She also has son Joe with Sam Mendes.

Kate is renowned for embracing her womanly curves, and hopes to pass her positive body image onto her children.

“I accept my body. I accept how I am and make the best of what I am given. Children orientate towards examples. That’s why I talk solely positive about my body in front of my daughter. “My daughter shall grow up in an environment in which everything of her appearance is just right.”

The 35-year-old actress told the Telegraph that she has formed a “British Anti-Cosmetic Surgery League”, vowing to never undergo plastic surgery and enlisting her pals Emma Thompson and Rachel Weisz for the cause.

“I will never give in,” Winslet told the British newspaper. “[Cosmetic surgery] goes against my morals, the way that my parents brought me up and what I consider to be natural beauty.”

“I am an actress,” added Winslet, “I don’t want to freeze the expression of my face.”
