Paula Deen touts pharmaceutical company Novartis while contemplating a confession to her fans and the world she has Type II diabetes.

The major drug company claims in response not to use Miss Deen as their spokesperson.

The statement from a Novartis spokesperson broke the news today amid the many rumors to the contrary that a multimillion dollar deal has been arranged between they and Paula Deen.

Type II diabetes is contracted in adulthood with the risk factors listed as obesity and eating refined starches and sugars in excess.

Bobby Deen, the younger of Paula’s two sons, has long been concerned with his mother’s unhealthy choice of foods and has written a cookbook with healthier versions.

The couple are moving to a seven-bedroom property in Tarzana, California.

The couple was reported to be close to signing the mortgage papers on Britney Spears’ huge mansion in Summit Circle in Beverly Hills.

Deen, 62, was in Atlanta, helping to load a truck for Hosea Feed the Hungry, when someone tried to toss Deen a ham.

Unfortunately, the host wasn’t looking, and the ham hit her square in the face.

The man yelled “head up.”  Maybe he should of yelled said “duck!” instead.

In Peru, four people were arrested in connection with an investigation into an alleged international traffic of fat and tissue, which could be linked to 60 disappearances. Seven other people were searched, including two Italian nationals.

The fat was purchased to be sold in European laboratories of cosmetics, said the prosecutor in the investigation. It could fetch $ 15 000 U.S. gallon (about 4 liters) in these countries, said the director of the criminal division of the Peruvian police.

“I thought it busted my lip, but it didn’t,” Deen tells CBSAtlanta.com. She made light of the whole mishap, saying through laughter: “Ran head on to a hog.”

Paula managed to escape injury.

Later on twitter, Deen hammed up the incident.  “I haven’t met a ham that could stop me yet!”

I think it might have hit maybe just right where, I thought it busted my lip, but it didn’t.”

The celebrity chef was helping give out turkeys and hams for the Hosea Feed the Hungry drive when one wrongly thrown pig piece landed on her face by accident.

The incident was captured on camera by Atlanta television station WGCL.
