While one of the best selling has been the Apple iPad, various other companies have brought similar tablets to the market which continue to provide competition to the tablet computer marketplace.

This summer one of the leaders in the technology industry will release their version of their tablet computer.

Samsung has announced that they plan on releasing the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, which is expected to be released in stores across the United States on June 8. The tablet computer will cost $499 for a 16 GB model and $599 for a 32 GB model.

The tablet computer has various features which will allow it to compete well in sales with other tablet computer sellers.

These include its 10 inch display, which is large compared to other tablets, the Google Android operating system, and Samsung’s custom software called the TouchWiz 4.0 which will run on top of the Android operating system.

The tablet will also have front and rear cameras and upgraded models will have the capability of connecting to a much higher speed 4G network.

However, 3-D televisions in your home may not be that comfortable.

Samsung has issued a health warning with its 3-D televisions.

Samsung’s warnings advise certain categories of people against watching 3-D TV. Children and teenagers with health issues should be monitored carefully when watching the television. Also, 3-D movies can cause seizures in people who are susceptible, such as epileptics. The 3-D images can cause seizures in a way that is similar to how flashing lights can trigger a seizure. Strokes can also occur in a small number of people, so it is recommended that viewers with a family history of either strokes or seizures should consult a doctor prior to purchasing one of these pricey televisions.

Those who should also refrain from 3-D movies, both at the theater and at home, include pregnant women, the elderly, and anyone who is intoxicated. Using the 3-D television for too long can also cause headache, dizziness, nausea, and fatigue.

The new 3D glasses have been found to have excellent picture detail. When you put them on and look at your television screen the lenses block the left and the right eye quicker than the blink of an eye so it is not noticeable to you while it is happening. This method causes you to see far more lifelike 3D images.

If you think the glasses are pricey you will also be able to purchase a starter kit which will contain 2 pairs of the 3D glasses, with the price right around $350. Most websites are already offering pre-orders on these glasses which will be very high in demand once they are released.

Now they have gone one step further. Bell Mobility has announced a brand new mobile device, the Samsung OMNIA II, will be the Official Smart Phone of the 2010 Olympics.

The OMNIA II has a 3.7 inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel camera, built-in WIFI, as well as a free software application that will display real-time events as they unfold during the Olympics. It also sports an impressive collection of Java utilities. Using Java, it allows you to edit photos and videos directly from the device. It also enables access of files in Word, Excell, and PDF formats.

Smartphones are fast becoming more and more popular. Bell Mobility has recently announced they will be the carrier of the official handset of the 2010 Winter Olympics. The Samsung Omnia II smartphone will be the official device of the Canada games.

With this decision, Bell becomes the first carrier in North America to provide an HSPA version of the touchscreen smartphone on the company’s HSPA network. Because of the group’s relationship to the Winter Olympic Games, Bell Omnia II owners will be able to download and use an app that allows them to keep track of the various events and their outcomes. Additionally, there is a decal for the Omnia II’s back.
