No director has been chosen for the film which is being written by “Alias” scribes Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec. “Mission: Impossible IV” will be Cruise’s next film and is set to begin shooting sometime this summer for a release on Memorial Day weekend 2011, where is will go up against comedy “The Hangover 2”.

A new A British translation firm called “Today’s Translation” asks the question, “whats in a name.”  The new service is supposed to help parents-to-be avoid embarrassment down the road.

Take The name Suri Cruise for example.  Suri, translates to  “pickpocket” in Japanese, “turned sour” in French, and “horse mackerels” in Italian.

“It sounds incredibly nice, but in Japanese, we found it means pickpocket,” said Jurga Zilinskiene, the company’s chief executive.

For about $1,700, the company’s linguists will perform a “name translation audit,” meaning they’ll check out the name in 100 languages.
“You’ll rest assured you are picking a good name,” Zilinskiene said. “At the end of the day, it’s something a person has to live with for the rest of their lives.”

Suri Cruise Name Translates To "Pickpocket"

The film based on a novel written by Galt Niederhoffer, is about eight old friends from college that re-unite for a wedding with Holmes starring as Laura, the maid of honour at Lila’s (Anna Paquin) wedding.

Already cast in the film are Josh Duhamel (Groom), Elijah Wood, Adam Brody, Malin Akerman and Jeremy Strong. Holmes will also be executive producer for “The Romantics”, her first time producing.

Filming begins this week in New York City and is scheduled to hit the theatres sometime next year.

According to Variety, Katie Holmes is replacing Liv Tyler in the indie comedy "The Romantics".
