There were over 40 friends and family and family in attendance, and of course Cruise’s two teenage children from ex-wife Nicole Kidman, and Suri, who was looking every bit the normal 5-year-old on her sundress and flip flops.

34 year- old Holmes wanted to make sure everything was just right with the surprise party; even making the RSVP’s herself. She planned everything right down to the Italian food, shrimp and of course the chocolate birthday, Cruises favorite.

The movie Rock of Ages is a big-screen adaptation of the musical and is due out in theaters next year in June.

Tom Cruise Celebrates 49th Birthday in Miami

The party which was at SoHo Beach Club in Miami had close to 40 guests, including his three children, Suri, 5 his child with Katie, Isabella, 18 and Connor, 16 who he adopted with Nicole Kidman during their marriage.

All details of the party right down to the RSVPs were handled by Katie, who wanted to make sure everything was just right. The menu consisted of Italian food with a chocolate cake for desert.

Tom is in Miami filming his latest movie based on the musical “Rock of Ages”. Its scheduled release is in June 2012.

Apparently the fans of the book series do not see Tom Cruise in this light, so the jury is still out on whether the movie will be a success. If the success depends too heavily on the existing fan base, it is set to be a flop at the box office. If Tom Cruise fans have anything to do with it however, that will not be the case.

One of the most memorable moments was when Oprah’s partner of 25 years, Stedman Graham, who rarely makes appearances, took the stage and spoke. He said of Oprah “I’m so proud of you and your success. The show has been No. 1 for 25 years, which is a credit to you and your team and millions of viewers around the world. This is amazing. It amazes me to be around a woman who changes lives everyday and takes her own lunch to work. I love you for making a difference in my life.”

The shows will air on May 23 and 24 with the last show taping next week and airing on May 25.

Star magazine has gone on to offer their apologies and will even publish their public apology in their upcoming issue to Katie Holmes. In addition to the upcoming issue, Star will also be making a large donation to a charity as a part of the settlement between them and Holmes.

In a statement released by Katie Holmes she goes on to say how pleased she is that she and the magazine was able to resolve the matter. She also says she will gladly accept their apology. Holmes hopes with the matter being out of the way she can now focus on her acting career.

The donation will be made to Dizzy Feet Foundation which helps underprivileged children pay for dance lessons.

Holmes admitted to taking a piece of home with her everywhere she goes, along with five-year-old daughter, Suri, by toting arts and crafts supplies around with them. Holmes said that by bringing crayons, scissors, paper, and glue with them, that she and Suri are able to make just about any new place feel as comfortable as home.

The ‘Dawson’s Creek’ and ‘Disturbing Behavior’ actress admits that she and her mother bonded over doing craft projects, a tradition that she is glad to carry on with her own daughter.

“My husband just bought me a sewing machine for my birthday,” Holmes said, with a smile.

Holmes is married to fellow actor, Tom Cruise.

Kidman is very happy to have become a parent once again with her new husband Keith Urban.

In July, 2008 Kidman gave birth to her daughter Sunday Rose. She said it was a wonderful experience to have a two and a half year old daughter at the age of 43.

When Kidman and Urban first met they dreaded Sundays but soon after Sunday became their favorite day of the week.

When Kidman gave birth they decided to name the baby Sunday Rose because Sunday was the day of the week that Kidman and Urban enjoyed the most together.

It is no news that internet hoaxes are sometimes mistaken for real news, but in a more tragic story this week real news was apparently mistaken for hoax. Gary Coleman, the former child star of Diff’rent Strokes (“Watcha talkin’ ’bout Willis?”) died Friday of a brain hemorrhage, but comments on real news stories of his death seem to assume that this was similar to the Tom Cruise Death Hoax. Others simply haven’t read carefully enough; popular celebrity gossip sites abound with comments posted after the death was confirmed encouraging Coleman to “get well soon.”

The actor is said to have been admitted on Wednesday, according to Utah Valley Medical Center hospital spokeswoman Janet Frank. Frank told People magazine that the reports are true, and that she would not be releasing any details as to which department he was admitted to. The 42 Year old actor is best known for his role as Arnold Jackson in the 80′s sitcom Diff’rent Strokes. Coleman has been hospitalized recently two other times, one on the set of TV’s “The Insider” this past February. The other incident apparently happened in January.

Spreading like wildfire on the internet are rumors that 46 year old actor Tom Cruise has died in a plumbing accident in New Zealand.

There was not a single official reporting of the rumor, thought to be a hoax, and the source has still not been identified.

The rumor is that Cruise either jumped or fell off of New Zealand’s famous Kauri Cliff. Popcorn, anyone?
