My son recently died and unfortunately the page was memorialized by Facebook. This has led to a lot of sadness and anger on the part of many that are trying to view his original page as part of their greif process. There was some very insightful and moving information on his site and now it is gone forever. Shame on Facebook for doing this

Why not have users design and populate their own memorial page before they die and then shut down their main page upon death? Seems like a little planning here would take care of this problem. You can let the users decide when they sign up. Do you want your page to be your memorial or do you want to have a secondary page ready to go so that it's there when required?
