The body of the missing little girl, Shaniya Davis, has been found in Fayetteville.
Shaniya was first reported missing from her home by her mother, Antoinette Davis, last Tuesday morning. Mario McNeill, 28, was charged with first-degree kidnapping on Friday. Shaniya’s mother Antoinette was arrested early Saturday on accusations that she prostituted her daughter.
The 5-year-old’s body was found about 6 miles from he last known location. Security footage captured her image with a man believed to be McNeill at the Comfort Suites hotel in Sanford.
Shaniya, who had previously lived with her father and aunt out of state, had recently moved in with her mother. Those who knew her said Antoinette had turned her life around and was holding a steady job, with a place of her own.
Arrest documents reveal that Shaniya’s mother “knowingly provide[d] Shaniya Davis with the intent that she be held in sexual servitude” and she “permit[ted] an act of prostitution.”

i cannot begin to understand what is happening with mothers today…i would never dream of doing such a thing to any of my children…if you need money so bad pimp yourself out..what happen to the sacrifices mothers make for their children..you work hard..and yes ask for help if you need too…but this goes beyond, i honestly don’t have the words to decribe what i think of this woman, north carolina should let her loose in general population after she has the baby she is carrying and let her be judged there….

I have been absolutely devastated over this little girl. I just can’t fatham the thought of what happened to her and how anyone could do this to their child or any child for that matter. My heart aches for her and her father and her loving family. I don’t believe there is a punishment that will come even close to what these 2 deserve & I pray they are torchered to the fullest while they spend the rest of their days on this planet. Little Shaniya will always have a place in my heart, even though i never met the little angel. Thinking of you sweet angel!!! XOXOXO!!!!
This is such a sad story. That poor little girl and her father. If, indeed, her mom DID ’sell’ her, she should be treated the same way! What a horrible person. It’s bad enough when crimes like this happen to adults, but to a child who trusted her mother…..
This story just breaks my heart. What kind of person does this to their OWN child? Pimp yourself out if life is that rough for you, don’t endanger the life of your child. People like this don’t even deserve to live. Than again, the death penalty wouldn’t even be justice enough for this poor little girl. She should be repeatedly raped and murdered in the worst way possible. I wouldn’t hurt a fly but its about time these child killers get the torture they inflict on our innocenet children. What kills me more, is that she had the nerve to get pregnant again. Useless piece of garbage.
I pray that the courts and prisons are merciless with all of those that are involved in this heinous crime. It is unfathomable that anyone could do any of the accusations to a child, whether they are blood relative or not. This entire scenerio wreeks pure evil, basically in my opinion the death sentence is far too good to this pair ( mother & accused). A true punishment would be that they live out the daily fear and horror that was installed into this innocent child, that they be NOT afforded protection in prison and have to survive and defend themselves with the same appitude that this innocent child did.

Talk about betrayal. How can a mother betrayal her little girl like this? I am very upset when I heard that this little girl is dead.
My heart just broke when I first read about Shaniya missing, and now to know she was killed…it’s beyond me. I can only hope that this dear little girl suffered as little as possible and that the afterlife is sheer perfection for her. I hope her father finds the strength to heal in whatever ways he can. And I hope the people who did this to her, presumably her mother and that man from the hotel, know more pain than she ever did.

Are we sure the child was prostituted? This is still in the early stages, what if the guy that was arrested after being held said, oh I had this lil’ girl because her mom said I could do this and this. Check the video of him with the child, she does not know that she is in danger, he was known to the child on some level. While horrible on any level and breaks my heart with thoughts of my daughter, nieces, etc. Because we know the strength of the love we have with our children, even when we aren’t perfect and have problems pulling it together, please lets get further details, while praying for this family.
The father is not at fault, but nobody has explained why he sent her to the mother to live, after years of taking care of her, wanting to know the mother is fine, but sending her back permanantly when there have obviously been previous problems. There are so many unanswered questions. A job and a home full of other people does not equate to I am ok, give me my child, but maybe you can spend the week with her, or the weekend, and we’ll go about this based on the child’s assimilation into the new environment.

It’s just not natural for a mother to act that way. She obviously has some mental defect. Also, pedophiles who rape and murder children, do not have a right to life. Period. They should be executed as soon as they receive their due process, if not sooner.

I am here in Colorado and when i heard about this story, I was literally about to leave work to get my daughter and just hold her and never let her go. This has been weighing on my heart these last few days. I am just pissed that the mother would do this. WTF? Really!!! And she is pregnant again? She didnt want to try to be mother! I am crying for this baby. I have four daughters and a granddaughter. This woman and man are evil. I live in Ohio and I am going to try to make it to a couple days of the trials when they come up. I want justice for this little girl. Shaniya, Caylee Anthony…their mothers are selfish.
