Tree Older than Dirt

The overall human understanding of the world is vast, yet it is still relatively small.

Sometimes there are those different plants and animal species that scientists know nothing about. One such example occurred recently when scientists recently discovered a new species of tree that is nearly 13,000 years old.

Iin Southern California scientists have often been puzzled by a tree known as Palmer’s Oak. This looks like a series of trees growing in between different boulder that often appear to be a series of bush.

However, it is actually one tree that reproduces through what is known as cloning. It will only grow to be a few feet tall and uses the boulders as a way to protect itself against the different elements.

What this shows is that despite all of the advances in technology and scientists understanding of the world around us, they still do not know every single plant or specie.

This means that with the changing nature of evolution occurring scientists will continue to keep finding new plants and animal specie as their knowledge improves, while the different changes create new strains.

Together these elements are what make our world an exciting place to live that is never dull.
