It has been reported by numerous sources that the husband of former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, Todd Palin was deeply involved in the governing of the state of Alaska, he was involved in putting together cabinet meetings and was even consulted on who to appoint to certain state agencies.
There are rumors that he gave many of the state jobs to his friends. Palin would likely say in his defense that this concept happens in many state governments. Palin was also involved in some tax policy decisions according to some media reports. There are liberal groups out there who are now wondering whether the Palins cheated on their state income tax by having Todd Palin involved in formulating new tax law.
Todd Palin was a successful businessman in the state and the fact that he was involved in state government despite not being elected to anything has some ethics groups around the country crying foul.
There are even some conservatives around the country who are tired of the Palins and all the alleged scandal surrounding them. The truth of the matter is that the fact Todd Palin was so involved in the functions of state government that it could hurt her as she attempts to become President in 2012.
And Hillary Clinton wasn’t involved in Bill Clinton’s day to day governing of the country? Did you forget healthcare “reform”.
TJinCA I happened to be working in healthcare at the time that the Clintons tried to reform healhcare. Even though it did not pass, it scared the crap out of all the right people. Millions had to be paid back to medicare by people (mostly doctors) who had been milking the system for all it was worth. They were running scared. Healthcare needs to be reformed to save us from our doctors.
Yes, of course Hillary was involved in Health Care reform. But the difference between her and Todd is ENORMOUS!> First of all “First Ladies” are expected to take the lead on at least a few issues (no such tradition for “first gentleman of states”), and Second, Hillary’s involvement was absolutely ABOVE BOARD. Her leadership was transparent and supported.
SSor, you are wrong. first ladies/first husbands are the same person in regards to the office they are married to. Hillary Clinton was no more important than Todd Palin. If she was given active duties in NATIONAL GOVT, why should Todd be critized for doing the same thing locally. It’s shady, but on both sides. We don’t know all what occurred during the Clinton admin, nor Bush, definitely not Obama. He’s the most shady of all. Or are you not aware that he’s trying to crash our system so he can start over with his govt monopoly
Is there some good reason why Palins continue to be under a microscope? Perhaps a good close look at Obama, Pelosi, Reid, on and on should be considered.

We all knew Hillary was involved in the Healthcare Reform because the media followed her through this venture. It appears that Todd Palin’s involvement in choosing the cabinet members and hiring his friends in the government is not just unethical but shows Sarah is not governing like she should. Todd should have ran for governer if he wanted to choose “his” cabinet members.
