Sarah Palin had previously criticized President Barack Obama for using a Teleprompter during his speeches.
However, her recent appearance at the Tea Party convention rose more than a few eyebrows as she read prepared answers from the palm of her hand. Palin, a key note speaker at the Tea Party, wrote several words in the palm of her left hand to remind herself of several talking points that she wanted to convey to the audience. In addition to “Energy” and “Lift American Spirits”, the word “Budget” was crossed out and replaced with “Tax Cuts” on her hand. Interestingly, it appears as if Palin had initially written “Budget Cuts”, and crossed out only “Budget” from the phrase, opting to replace it with the word “Tax”.
Palin did refer to her hand when speaking, and many Twitter users caught on quickly to what was happening and posted pictures and updates of Palin’s use of her speech crib notes. The following day, videos, pictures and blogs popped up all over the internet of Palin, a possible Presidential candidate for 2012, and her notes. There is some debate to whether Palin’s notes are deemed unprofessional or acceptable in light of her possible run for office.
As a member of Toastmaster’s International and trained in public speaking. Writing notes on your hand has never have been suggested as an option for an informed professional presentation.
This woman is absolutely unbelievable! She is unfit to run a household, let alone an entire country. The day she becomes President is the day I lose faith in America and all that our nation stands for. I can’t even fathom how she has made it this far!
It is not really a question of professionalism. It is a question of knowledge & ability. I think she clearly demonstrated during interviews while running as VP, and lack of interviews she was not a very informed political person. She was more an unknown face who was assigned a persona. I had assumed she would work harder than anyone to learn and educate herself on important issues, the government, policy and society. So many people loved her that they could quickly and easily forget about how much of an idiot she looked like when she presented herself only a few years before. However, it looks like she is still incompetent and simply unable or unwilling to put forth effort or work. Rather just prays to her invisible god for favors.
