It appears that former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin’s ramping up of her attacks on the Obama administration had an ulterior motive after all.
Just before appearing at the Tea Party Convention as the keynote speaker, Palin went on Fox News, and seemed to stop just one step shy of officially announcing her candidacy. When asked by Chris Wallace if she would run for President in 2012, Palin responded that she would do it if the situation was right for both her, and her family. She added it would be absurd to not consider it.
In a November interview with Barbara Walters, Palin was signing a different tune, claiming that a Presidential run in 2012 was not on her radar screen, though she did admit it would be foolish to rule anything out.
If she does decide to run, the former Wasilla mayor will still have an uphill battle.
While she is immensely popular with the far right, she’s equally unpopular with the left, and is still struggling to get the moderate conservatives into her corner.
The most recent polls have shown a large majority of Americans don’t believe she’s ready to be President, and one poll shows she would lose handily in a general election face-off with President Obama.

I am tired of seeing and listening to Sarah Palin on TV. She will do no better in 2012 than she did the last time she was a candidate. She need to just go away and take care of her fisfunctional family and focus on being a better mother and wife.
Your tired of Palin? I’m sick to death of Obama. Everytime he opens his mouth the stock market goes right in the dumpster, unemployment goes up, and he’s borrowing another billion dollars (whats the debt now? $14 TRILLION? Hum-m, about $10 Trillion more than when Bush was in, and its only been a little over a year now for our illustrious President and with a Democratic Congress, imagine that!)
Oh yeah and if he just explains HIS programs enough I’ll finally understand and give my support to them. Damn how did I forget that?
As for Ms. Palins speaking ability, that may improve with time and experience. Not that that will probably make the least bit of difference to her critics (jealous women, the liberal newsmedia, and other idiots that think the American citizen is blind, deaf and dumb.) Ms Palins’ ideas are right on. We have too much government, trying to do everything and not being able to run anything, and lining their and their buds pockets at our expense. The majority of politicians in DC have been there way-y too long, not paying the slightest bit of attention to us. Its time they woke up! Sarah may or may not run for president, that’s a long way off yet (unfortunately), but we need someone with her courage and common sense and not a progressive or a liberal who feels they know how to run things better than us poor common folk.
I wouldn’t imagine that speaking in front of thousands and thousands of people is particularily easy. Think you could do better? Then get off you dead a__ and put your money where your mouth is.
Sarah Palin does not have a chance to be the President in 2012. She is a hockey mom who will do better trying to keep her family intact. She has too many personal problems she needs to handle and Levy Johnston will see to that. She will only bring drama to the White House. The country has already gotten rid of scumbugs we need to keep it pure. Sit down Palin and keep your daughter in line.
why don’t you keep yourself in line? then maybe others will learn from you and follow your example…and scumbugs are still here in the US. rapists, murderers, robbers, adulterers, etc. they will always be here…get your facts straight before jumping down someone’s throat whom you don’t even know.
Go Sarah! You got my vote! If we dont get someone with more conservative values I hate to see where the United States will end up!
Think Sarah Palin is a good person, it bothers me that she did not finish her Governorship for the people, then we could see what she could really do for Alaska in this down economy! Actions always speak louder than words, and I think a lot of politations lose track of that! From: Walter In Sun City, AZ
If Sarah Palin couldn’t even handle the office of governor of Alaska let alone couldn’t even finish her term as a governor..what makes her think she could handle the office of US president. She had no clue where Russia was when asked back in 2008..Palin thought it was behind her backyard. I hate to even think that she would become a US president and quit the job after 1 year in office!
I don’t rule her out of running, I just rule her out of winning. I hope the republicans get their act together and pick a good candidate. We don’t need another old man politician, a dingy beauty queen or a dimwit like Bush to represent the Republican Party in the next presidential election.
This country will have covered the hole that has been dug for us if she is elected to office
Sarah Palin did the right thing for Alaska, The State of Alaska is economically just fine. They are a “Boom and Bust” economy as allways. They are ok.
