Pediatrician Dr. Earl Bradley has been indicted on 471 counts of rape, unlawful sexual contact, continuous sexual abuse of a child, assault and reckless endangerment against 103 children. These charges allegedly took place between 1998 and 2009.

Bradley, 53, is presumed innocent until guilty, however the odds are not in his favor. Law enforcement officials have seized videotapes from his home of him explicitly assaulting his victims, all which were girls, except one. It’s possible there were many more victims that were not on the videotapes.

His recent indictment follows a year long investigation following allegations of sexual abuse in 2008. Apparently, colleagues and parent of patients had found his behavior strange for many years. He was arrested after parents of a two-year old girl stated that their daughter told them he hurt her. It wasn’t until search warrants were used in his home and the videotapes were found that he was indicted.

The Delaware Department of Justice has sent more than 3,000 letters to current and former patients of Dr. Bradley to inform them of the situation and assist in the investigation if needed. This could be considered one of the worst child sex abuse cases in our history.
