Sarah Palin is one of those politician’s you either hate or love, there is no in between. Her outspoken comments have landed her in hot water numerous times. Some attribute her blunders and her success to her top aide Meg Stapleton. Palin was thrust into the limelight during the Presidential race in 2008 when she was selected to run with John McCain for the vice presidential seat.
Scandals have plagued Palin and her family for the past year and a half and Palin has often been displayed in a poor political and personal spotlight. Again, Stapleton has been blamed by members of the Republican party and members of the press for her inability to handle Palin’s rising fame. Stapleton has been accused of ignoring phone calls and emails and on the off chance she did respond, it was combative and rude.
Stapleton has announced her resignation as the top aide effective at the end of February. Stapleton cites the need to spend time with her family and refocusing her priorities. She announced her resignation to Palin’s staff via email last week. Stapleton has worked with Palin since 2006.
The Palin family has no immediate plans to hire a replacement spokesperson.

maybe it is harder to put lipstick on a pig than was first thought.
rory,
That is my thought exactly. Sarah Palin is the modern day Eliza Doolittle (My Fair Lady/Pygmalion), except she is not catching on. I would love to hear her complete one sentence…coherently.
