As if the Catholic religion has not faced enough controversy they have found themselves caught up in another shocking scandal. A high ranking Catholic usher has been fired from his duties after it was revealed that he was involved in a homosexual prostitution organization.

Angelo Balducci held a position as an usher in the elite group known as the Gentleman to His Holiness. Another Catholic reportedly involved in the prostitution sting was a singer in the prestigious Vatican Choir. Thomas Chinedu Ehiem claims he was asked to find male prostitutes for Balducci. He was recently fired after his participation in the sex trade was revealed.

Wiretaps on Balducci’s phone recorded conversations between the pair in which Balducci described the men he wanted delivered to him. Ehiem admits to providing at least ten men for Balducci.

The prostitution ring was a bonus for investigators. They were originally tapping his phone line to investigate corruption allegations. Balducci, along with three others were arrested last month with three on those corruption charges.

An Italian newspaper is responsible for revealing the identity of people involved in the prostitution ring when they printed the transcripts of the wiretaps. A spokesman for the Vatican has stated the current Pope knew about the sex trade.
