Eight Years After The Terror: D.C. Sniper Apologizes

Eight years after terrifying the Washington D.C. area, Lee Boyd Malvo is ready to apologize.

In 2002 Lee Boyd Malvo and John Allen Muhammad went on a three week killing spree in the Washington D.C. area that resulted in 10 deaths. These men came to be known as the D.C. snipers. These men caused everyday citizens to fear for their life as average citizens were being shot randomly.

One such victim was Louisiana resident, John C. Gaeta. He was shot in the neck in a parking lot outside of a shopping mall but miraculously survived. According to sources, the snipers had slashed Gaeta’s tires so that he would be sitting in his truck.

Recently Gaeta received something in the mail that he probably never thought he would receive: an apology. When Malvo found out that Gaeta survived the shooting he wrote him a letter of apology. The letter stated that he was remorseful and was grateful that Gaeta survived.

Gaeta admitted to detectives last month that he did in fact shoot Gaeta in the parking lot of the Hammond Square Mall, but he thought that he had killed him.

Gaeta, though thankful for the letters, doubts the sincerity of his remorse.

Oh well, since he’s really sorry now, it’s all o.k. I don’t care what happened to him in his life. He had no right to harm anyone. Execute that bastard! Better yet, just let him know that he’ll be executed by firing squad, but tell him he won’t know when that will happen. Now he can fear for his life every day.

  2. Adam says:

Tell him he will be executed some time during a set 3 week period. Tell him when the 3 weeks start, then stand at his cell with a rifle for… 16 days or so. Then shoot him.

well how i feel is you never know whut some one has been thru and he was a child who had been brain washed by some one who was suppose to teach him right from wrong..and this is what he got!!

everyone deserves to be Forgiven No Matter what the crime! Big or Small

if you beleive in God then you know thats what he died for!!

  4. Scott Denbina says:

Better yet, make him live in Canada.

Impriss00 – you are all wrong.

I’m a Christian, and yes, we should forgive. However, his earthly punishment must still be carried out. It’s God’s decision whether he goes to heaven or hell, not ours. One of the functions God gives our government is to punish as they see fit. He was sentenced to death, and that must be carried out regardless as to whether we forgive or not.

Go ahead, forgive. Forgiveness does not mean he should not be punished.
