The photographs taken by convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala 30 years ago were released by Huntington Beach, California police on March 11, 2010, in hopes of finding someone who might identify his victims.
Talking to AOL News, Detective Patrick Ellis commented while leafing through the photographs of the murdered women, “Look at this, this person is posed like they’re dead. And how old do you think this is one is–13? I’m wondering how many of these people are still alive.”
The bizarre comment obviously seems to indicate that police do not believe that convicted serial killer Rodney Alcala killed all of the women that he photographed. Police found much more than 2000 photographs and have released 100′s of these photos of women in Rodney Alcala’s locker and are trying to match his victims with his confiscated photos.
The convicted serial killer, was found guilty Feb. 25, 1979, of murdering 4 women and one 12 year old girl. The girl’s name was Robin Samsoe. The killer kept getting his guilty convictions appealed until detectives found his locker in a Seattle storage bin that he had rented. His locker held the photographs and earrings that police believe he kept as tokens of his crimes.
