Brooklyn, New York – Over the period of November 7 through December 27, Barry Baldwin, age 35, assaulted women between the ages of 20 and 78 due to what he termed was self-defense. He was finally arrested on January 3rd. Baldwin seems to have a few screws loose in his head.
When police took a statement from him regarding a woman he punched on December 27, he penned down a written explanation that her looks were a threat to his safety warranting a punch in the head in self-defense. When asked about a 33-year-old mother he punched in the head in front of her daughter, he said he didn’t attack her per se. Rather, he was holding a cup of coffee from Dunkin Donuts and she was likely to bump into him. The punch he gave that woman sent him collapsing onto her child and left the woman with contusions on her hands, knees, and head. However, Baldwin was clear that incident was not an attack out of deference to the child.
On Christmas Eve, he attacked two elderly woman one of who was 78-years-old. For all this, he was released from jail on a $13,500 bond. He plead not guilty to the assault charges.
