Musical Genius Can Hear

Japan’s modern answer to Beethoven, Mamoru Samuragochi, has recently claimed he can hear after years of deafness. The musical genius has been under much speculation after it was revealed that his popular symphonies were written by an unknown composer. Many people compared him to the late Beethoven because of his ability to create and write beautiful music despite his hearing disability. However, he has since been outed as a farce.

The actual Beethoven of Japan is a university proffessor named Takashi Niigaki who has written for Samuragochi for nearly 20 years. He was paid nearly seventy thousand dollars for twentys songs. The repratoire included a famous symphony named for Hiroshima. The Japanease public is shocked at this revelation, but this has not seemed to diminish his popularity at the moment. If anything, Takashi Niigaki is gaining the recognition he rightly deserves for creating such beautiful music.

One of the members of the 2014 Olympic figure skating team is using a selection of the music from Samuragovhi. The skater mentioned that the news did not affect his program despite his surprise at the announcement. Only time will tell if Samuragochi really is a modern musical genius or if Niigaki was it from the start.
