billy the exterminator facing drug charges
As per TMZ, reality TV star William Bretherton, better known as “Billy the Exterminator”, has coped a plea bargain that would spare him from serving a 60-day incarceration in county jail. Both Bretherton and his wife Mary were arrested last month for possession of synthetic marijuana and a marijuana pipe.
The couple was required to accept a guilty plea and receive a 60-day jail sentence. However, by paying a $500 fine and agreeing to four 8-hour days of community service they would not have to serve jail time. Bretherton will also have to undergo substance abuse evaluation and remain drug free. He will be subject to random drug tests for a period of one year. Bretherton has been the star of the A&E’s reality TV show “Billy the Exterminator” which has been airing since 2009. The show has completed six seasons and aired 88 episodes.
Bretherton is a qualified entomologist and gained his skills while serving in the United States Air Force. Originally, he intended to be a military policeman, but showed an aptitude for biology.
His reality TV shows centers on his skill in pest control in the city of Benton, Louisiana. He co-stars on the show with his brother Ricky.
