Ashley Madison is a dating website designed to attract those who want to begin an extramarital affair. It has been in existence for several years now with some disregard to many people's idea of a happy union. However, the company has been so successful that it is considering going public thanks to a keen interest from investors in its numbers.

This has launched an anti-Ashley Madison attack on Ashley Madison on social media platforms across the Internet. Yet, the apparent backlash has not really hurt its profit or continued success. The company is one of the only dating websites to rely completely on its membership fees. You will find no advertisements on this website.

"Life is short. Have an affair," says the website's tagline. The website has a fairly even number of men and women with the former being the only paying members. The country's most unfaithful city is Washington D.C. which may or may not come as a surprise to the public. It seems those who work in the nation's capital have plenty of steam to blow off.

AshleyMadison.com's future status as a publicly trading company has still not been confirmed. However, if it's continued success means anything, then social media might continue to have an uproar.
