Alaskan serial killer, Israel Keyes, is now confirmed to have been linked to the deaths of at least 11 people. Keyes would often seek out victims in deserted locations. Police describe him as being extremely meticulous; each of his murders was well planned and thought out. FBI agents are currently looking at other cases overseas that may also be connected to Keyes.

Keyes committed suicide in December of 2012 while being held in jail. He had been arrested for abducting, raping and then strangling 18 year old Samantha Koenig, an Anchorage barista, to death. Before killing himself, he admitted to having killed 8 victims. Through further investigations after Keyes' death, police have been able to connect Keyes with at least more killings.

Before his death, Keyes also confessed to frequently visiting prostitutes, as well as robbing multiple banks. FBI agents have been able to track Keyes' travels internationally, however, it is not yet known whether or not any victims exist outside of the United States.

Keyes left a four page long suicide note. He stated that he felt no regret for his actions. Police were not able to extract any information or leads about other possible killings from his note.

Travelled to Canada often

In A statemenent relased Monday, FBI asked the public to share any information they had regarding Keyes' travels in Canada, Mexico and Belize between 2001 and 2008.

"Keyes traveled internationally and it is unknown if he committed any homicides while outside of the United States," the FBI statement said.
