Kindergarten Teacher Arrested in Murder-for-Hire Plot

Angela Nolan, 47, a kindergarten teacher and mother in Virginia, has been arrested in connection with a plot to kill her ex-husband, Paul Strickler, 63. Also arrested was Nolan’s friend, school nurse Cathy Bennett, 37, who allegedly helped Nolan locate a hit man.

Unfortunately for both Nolan and Bennett, the man contacted was not a hit man but an undercover police officer. Nolan was arrested after giving the officer $4,000.

The total cost to kill her ex-husband? A mere eight thousand dollars, reports the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office. No one in the school where the two worked were threatened or were planned targets.

Strickler has told reporters that he is “distraught” as hearing of the planned hit. He also guessed that the reason for the hit was so that Nolan would not have to give up half of the sale of the house they lived in when married.
