A 24-year old neighbor of a 9-year old Ohio girl whose body was found dead in a mobile home park dumpster has been arrested in connected with her murder.

The mother of Reann Murphy first reported her missing on Saturday night and the grisly discovery of her lifeless corpse was discovered almost six hours later in a dumpster located in the complex's courtyard.

Jarred Metsger of Smithville has already been arrested, according to officials with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department. He is the primary suspect in her disappearance and death.

Metsger lives less than 100 yards away from the home that the child shared with her mother. He was described by police officials as an "acquaintance" of the Murphy family.

His Facebook page reveals little about what could have prompted him to kill a child, but his garbled and misspelt status updates indicate someone with a poor education and a love of video games.

'i feel like that people need to be nice to people even know if thay are rich or pore if you are mean were dose that get you know were if you are nice you get a lot moor in life,' reads one.

According to Fox 8, there are between 15 and 20 trailers inside the park and the dumpster where Reann was found was in the middle of the courtyard near the trailers.

Neighbors say that although the area has been deteriorating, it has not been affected by any serious criminal activity in recent years. Located about an hour south of the Cleveland metropolitan area, Smithville is characterized a small-town community where residents tend to know one another.

Police who are investigating the child's death have not yet released any details regarding the crime, how long either the Murphy family or Metsger lived in the mobile park or what his motive may have been.

A candlelight vigil has been scheduled for 6 p.m. at Smithville park Sunday evening in Reann Murphy's memory.
A grief counselor will be available at the little girl's school Smithfield Elementary for staff and students.
