Saint Nick Busted on DUI Charges in Eastern Poland

Ustrzykach Dolnych, Poland – Santa Claus, making his global rounds, apparently had one too many spirits to keep warm as he drove his sleigh down the main street of this Eastern Polish town. An approaching car beeped Santa to warn him to keep his way and the beep spooked the horse causing it to pull the sleigh so as to knock Santa and his 31-year-old female helper to the ground. He may now face a DUI charge.

Thankfully, the Santa now in the hospital was a poser and not the real one set about to deliver gifts to all the good children across the world. This particular Santa was a 51-year-old man local man who did not have to the good sense to arrive at the family activity prepared. A witness said the sloshed Santa was clearly not in the right frame of mind to be around children as he and his aid were behaving as if they just left a cantina. She said that in their drunken state they may have brought harm to children.

An officer on the scene said alcohol played a role in the accident. Had they maintained control of the sleigh, the horse would not have gotten spooked as it did.
