Elizabeth Olsen Cast as Witch in Upcoming Avengers Film

The next installment in the Avenger’s franchise will be the film “Avengers: Age of Ultron” set for release in the summer of 2015.

The new flick will be expected to be the blockbuster film of the season. Now, it has been announced that Elizabeth Olsen, the younger sister of Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen, has been cast in the role of the Scarlett Witch, the sister of Quicksilver.

At first glance, one might easily assume that Elizabeth is Mary-Kate & Ashley’s lesser known triplet. She won critical acclaim for her starring role in the 2011 drama “Martha Marcy May Marlene” about the mental struggles of a young woman emerging from the mind control effects of a cult.

Now, Olsen is excited to play the role of a superhero in taking down the powerful Ultron. Quicksilver will be played by her co-star Aaron Taylor-Johnson in the upcoming film “Godzilla” set for release next year.

Olsen played Taylor-Johnson’s wife in the monster flick and expressed her joy that the two will collaborate again. Admittedly, she says she didn’t interact very much with him in the Godzilla movie, but that will be very different in the Avenger’s film. As per the comic book series, both Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch are recruited by the Avengers in their fight against Ultron.
