Olympic Gold Medal teen swimmer Missy Franklin will swim in her final high school state meet this weekend, to a lot of publicity. Franklin will swim in front of a sell-out crowd, and the meet will reportedly be broadcast over the internet. Franklin will compete at the State Championships in Colorado. Franklin is scheduled to compete in the IM and freestyle swim meets. There are also rumors that Franklin may also compete in two relay events.

Franklin's accomplishments have come with controversy, as she almost decided not to swim for her high school team this year after receiving criticism over whether or not her stature took away from other swimmers. Franklin currently holds Colorado state records in the 100 and 200 freestyle events. She also has the record for the 50 freestyle event. Franklin is going to the University of California-Berkeley in the Fall.
