At Elton John's annual Oscars gala benefiting the AIDS Foundation, Britney Spears stunned onlookers with glossy brunette locks. The warm chocolate shade is a far cry from her usual blonde, and closer to her natural hair color. While the past several years have been tumultuous for the singer, most notably for mental issues, her changed tresses will no doubt leave fans wondering what's next for her.

Upon her departure from The X Factor, Spears indicated that she was ready to return to doing what she loves most: performing. She is also involved with a new boyfriend, David Lucado, and is currently in negotiations to move to Las Vegas, as well as secure a deal with Caesars Entertainment Group there.

With a fresh new cocoa hue to her hair, and glamorous look at the Oscars party, Spears looks ready to begin anew with both her life and singing career.
