The audience attending "America's Got Talent" auditions this week in New Orleans weren't feeling any love for new judge Mel B, the former Spice Girl who is Melanie Brown. It seems that Brown, the newest judge on the series along with supermodel Heidi Klum, dissed a New Orleans Jazz Band that was auditioning by telling them she doesn't care in the least for music from brass instruments.
After the audience heard Mel B's comments, which they considered a putdown of a hometown band, they began booing her and yelling comments like "no respect" and telling her to "go home."
There has been no reaction from Mel B regarding the sour reception she received on her first outing as one of the judges.
Before the auditions, she had seemed very glad to be involved with the series, posting several messages about her newest gig on her Twitter account along with several photos of the AGT set.
According to the Huffington Post, this isn't the first time the Spice Girl has been booed. In June, Mel B was booed after she insulted in 81-year-old contestant by saying his performance made her want to "fall asleep."
