Police in Atlanta, George have issued an arrest warrant for Radric Davis, aka rapper Gucci Mane, after a fan accused him of assault.
According to USA Today, Gucci Mane allegedly swung a champagne bottle at the fan, hitting him in the head during an altercation at a nightspot in the downtown area. Police allege that 32-year old James Lettley of Texas tried to engage the rapper in conversation at the Harlem Nights Ultra Lounge nightclub on the evening of March 16, with Davis responding to the fan by striking him with such force using a bottle that he suffered a gash on his head.
Lettley required medical assistance at a nearby hospital and alerted local police to the situation. Atlanta police have issued an arrest warrant for Gucci Mane, charging aggravated assault.
There has been no response from either the rapper or his attorney and messages left at his phone number have gone unanswered.
