It looks like rumors about singing star Beyonce being pregnant with her second child may not be true. At least if a photograph of her drinking wine at a restaurant in Germany last month means anything.

The picture was uploaded to Beyonce's Tumblr page last Friday, leaving gossip columnists all over the world to comment it probably means she's not pregnant and the photograph is her subtle way of pointing that out.

Interestingly, however, most of these gossip columnists seem to be missing two things about the story. The first is there's no actual proof Beyonce was actually swallowing the wine, particularly as her husband is smiling in an odd way as she has the glass raised to her mouth.

Second, unlike in the United States, in Europe it's quite common for women to drink alcohol when pregnant and particularly an occasional glass of wine with a meal. So, if Beyonce was in a 'European frame of mind' at the time, the photograph may mean nothing at all.

Beyonce's husband Jay-Z, however, has been quite a bit more strident with his denials about his wife being pregnant. In fact, he went as far as to send an email to one radio station that had talked about rumors Beyonce was pregnant on air. In the email, he simply said "It's not true".

The singer and her husband are already parents of a 16-month-old daughter, Blue Ivy Carter. She may end up being an only child a little longer. Then again, will she?
