The petite 5'3" beauty and talented singer-songwriter Azealia Banks cut her performance short during the "Lights Out Festival" in Melbourne, Australia this past Saturday. The 22-year-old has was just getting warmed up as she was belting out her song "ATM Jam" when someone in the audience tossed a full beer can on stage.

It isn't known who tossed the loaded beer can, but Ms. Banks believed it was aimed straight for her head. The 22-year-old singer from Harlem wasn't about to wait for anyone to get a second attempt to pelt her. She abruptly stopped her performance and left the stage. Within moments, the backup band followed suit.

Ms. Banks has apologized to her disappointed fans via Twitter. She later explained that she and the band felt threatened by the incident and felt it better to be safe than sorry. The following day she performed in Brisbane and tweeted her fans that the incident was free of any projectiles.

Azealia Banks is bisexual by her own admission and is very comfortable with her sexuality. She has previously explained that she does not try to use her sexuality to define herself by any labels such as "lesbian rapper".
