46-year-old former "Bay Watch" babe Pamela Anderson completed a run of epic proportions that she likely wasn't able to run during her days on the set of the legendary TV-drama back in the 1990s. Anderson, a native of British Columbian town of Ladysmith, ran the famous New York City Marathon in 5:41:03, a respectable time for the 26.2 mile - that's a pace of just over 13 minutes per mile.

Clearly, Anderson had taken the run seriously and conducted some proper training. Her cause for the run was most noble: raise money for the Haitian people's earthquake relief effort. The formal name for the charity is "J/P Haitian Relief Organization". In all, the blond bombshell raised $76,000.

Anderson had a little help from a dear friend, her brother Gerry. Her brother ran alongside his famous sister to keep her pace steady and give her the moral support many runners need during the second half of the marathon. Most marathon runners agree that whatever energy levels are built up before the race usually expire during the first 13.1 miles. After that, completing the next 13.1 miles is all about "digging deep" and finding the strength to finish. It was Anderson's first ever marathon run.

“So proud of my brother Gerry,” she wrote on Twitter. ”Thank G. For running next to me today- love you lots.”

The first woman to cross the finish line was Priscah Jeptoo, a 29-year-old Kenyan who clocked in at 2:25:07.

Meanwhilke, during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show Thursday, the actress revealed that she and ex-husband Rick Salomon are "best friends ... with benefits."

When DeGeneres joked about how Anderson keeps "going back to the same guys," the actress quipped: "It’s recycling … No, I'm very happy. We’re happy. He's a great guy."
