Khloe Kardashian Struggles Over Husband Lamar Odom’s Drug Addiction

Published

Reality TV actress Khloe Kardashian's days of flaunting money and extravagance on the set of the popular series "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" probably isn't over, but the days of being carefree are. The 29-year-old socialite recently celebrated her fourth wedding anniversary this past September, but she doesn't have much to celebrate. Her husband and former NBA star Lamar Odom is reported to be struggling with a drug addiction.

In the most recent episode of the show, Bruce Jenner, her stepfather, was counseling his daughter Kendall about the evils of drug abuse as they discussed the untimely death of 31-year-old Canadian actor Cory Monteith who died from an accidental drug overdose. Jenner emphasized the personal accountability nature of the addiction which his stepdaughter found overly harsh. She countered that there the matter isn't black & white with drug addicts needing support in order to overcome the addiction which she termed a "disease".

Lamar Odom's struggles with drug use have taken a toll on both his marriage and his family relationships. It isn't certain at this time when he will overcome the problem. His wife Khloe was absolutely right on one point and that is that there is a strong emotional problem at the root of drug addiction.
