Rihanna Ties With Elvis For US Top 10s

R&B sensation Rihanna recently pulled off a pretty impressive feat. She has tied with Elvis' twenty-five hits to be in the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song that got Rihanna that twenty-fifth top ten is her recent duet with Eminem called "The Monster." The song debuted this week at number three.

The only people with more top ten hits in the US than the R&B diva are Mariah Carey, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, the Beatles, Sir Elton John and Madonna. Madonna currently has thirty-eight songs that made it to the top ten, so Rihanna has thirteen more to go before overtaking the Queen of Pop. With "The Monster" though Rihanna became the female artist to reach twenty-five top tens the fastest. The previous record holder was Madonna.

Rihanna celebrated her accomplishment in Barbados along with her grandfather's eighty-fifth birthday, according to the singer's Twitter account. While in Barbados she was spotted drinking from a Louboutin shoe and also wearing a fascinating polka dot romper.

"The Monster" is Rihanna's forty-fifth song to enter the charts since 2005, which impressive as well. Mariah Carey has also had forty-five singles make it into the Top 100. Mariah holds a lot of her own records including the most weeks at number one.
