Jessica Simpson, age 33, has finally shed her baby weight and the results are impressive based on the selfie she posted on Instagram recently. Simpson's weight exploded during her first pregnancy when she gained an eye popping 5 stone or 70 pounds. The criticism prompted the singer of "I Wanna Love You Forever" to acknowledge that she would lay off the bon-bons during her second pregnancy. Well, her exact words were to eat healthier.
Whenever someone losses a substantial amount of weight, the inevitable question from people is "How did you do it?" In the case of Simpson, it was via Weight Watchers.Weight Watchers VP of Media Sales Andy Amill revealed in September that Simpson was back as their spokeswoman. The Weight Watchers program allows dieters to eat whatever they would like, but in very controlled portions to keep the calorie intake sufficiently low to lose weight.
"Couldn't stop smiling on set for my new @weightwatchers campaign today! #happy," Simpson tweeted in the photo caption.
As for being a mother of two small children, Simpson explains she is very busy tending to their needs. At the time she faced criticism over her pregnancy weight gain, she explained that she did not understand what all the fuss was about. She stated that gaining weight during pregnancy is expected and that the weight would "always" be lost post-pregnancy. Unfortunately, there are many examples to the contrary.
