Actress Kerri Russell and her husband of six years Shane Deary have decided to end their marriage. News of the divorce comes roughly 24 hours after her Brooklyn home was burglarized. The divorce doesn't come as a surprise to friends and family as they had been separated for several months. The couple's break up is amicable and they are putting their energies at providing care for their two young children ages six and two.

It was nearly seven years ago that they took their wedding vows on Valentine's Day, but the pressure of her career took its toll on her marriage. Russell said that her husband wasn't able to embrace how her career would impact their life. Deary is a contractor and it may be that the fact she was earning much more money may have been hard to accept.

For her part, Russell's acting career remains strong. She recently starred in the horror movie Dark Skies which was a box office success grossing over $26 million on a small budget of $3.5 million. She is best known for her starring role as Felicity Porter on the WB Network drama "Felicity" which ran from 1998 to 2002.
