Family members gather this weekend in Los Angeles to inter the cremated remains of actor Paul Walker at Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Hollywood. The burial at Forest Lawn is expected to be a private event following the release of the "Fast & Furious" movie franchise actor's remains to family members after police concluded their investigation into his death while a passenger in a friend's Porsche sports car. Walker died at the scene of the accident in Santa Clarita, California just north of Los Angeles on November 30. Another memorial event is also being planned by invitation only in which his co-stars are expected to participate.

Also killed in the crash, which police suspect was caused by high rates of speed, was the driver of the Porsche Carrera GT automobile, Roger Rodas, a best friend of Walker's. Local police officials are expected to release a report on their findings about the accident, which occurred on a clear, dry day, in about three months. Initial findings following an autopsy of Walker's body indicate that he perished after receiving traumatic injuries when the car smashed into a light pole as well as thermal injuries when the car erupted into a fireball.
