In a bid to inject new life into the Real Housewives of Orange County franchise two new cast members are reportedly joining the show for its ninth season. With controversy always required to keep the drama of The Real Housewives as high as possible, one new cast member is joining with a family history steeped in controversy.

Shannon Beador, one of the reported new cast members is known in the Orange County area for the accusations of battery that were leveled against her husband. The mother of three and her construction business owner husband were investigated for more than three years after he pleaded not guilty to battery charges, before being cleared of the charges brought against him.

With the controversy quota of the show upped by the inclusion of Beador, added glamor is to be provided by former model and fashion designer Lizzie Rovsek. The growing number of reality shows on the TV has forced producers to wield the ax on a number of veteran cast members and omit Lydia McLaughlin after she debuted in the eighth season. The omission of Alexis Bellino and Grethen Rossi will be shocking to fans who will be eager to see how the new cast members fare with Tamra Barney and Heather Dubrow.
