Paul Walker final film Has Release Date
"Fast & Furious 7" Release Date Set
On Sunday, Vin Diesel announced on his Facebook page that the last film to feature his friend and co-actor Paul Walker, Fast & Furious 7, is scheduled for release on April 10, 2015. The original release date was July 11, 2014 before the deaths of Walker and Roger Rodas several weeks ago.
Walker had previously filmed most of his scenes before the cast and crew went on break and a car accident took Walker's life. The studio is planning to keep these scenes, but is unknown how James Wan and Chris Morgan have changed the story to work around the un-filmed ones. In the past, actor deaths during filming have been dealt with in different ways. Some directors replace the actor with a body double or use an intermission card followed by a completely different-looking actor.
Diesel included a photo of the last on-set photograph taken of Walker and stated that they shared a “sense of completion” and “pride” during filming. He also included the words: “P.s. He'd want you to know first..." in the announcement.
The Fast and Furious franchise has brought in approximately $2.38 billion worldwide in revenues to-date.
