WWE Performs 11th Annual Tribute to the Troops
On Saturday, December 28, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) held its 11th annual "Tribute to the Troops" for American men and women of the armed forces serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. Also part of the celebration are visits to Bethesda Naval Hospital and Walter Reed Army Medical Center to bring cheer to the wounded veterans of those armed conflicts. What many may not know is that that the event is actually a three-day blitz of visits by prominent professional wrestlers at military camps in Iraq and Afghanistan which culminates in a television broadcast.
This year featured Access Hollywood's Michelle Beadle as the host. Actor Will Ferrell also made an appearance. The night would not be complete without golden boy Marine John Cena entering the ring in the nick of time to rescue buddies Punk and Bryan when they needed him the most. From tweets that were sent out, it was clear that the troops love John Cena.

However, it's not all about entertainment as Eddie Guerrero entered the spotlight. For Guerrero, this is his life. He made his splash entrance to kick off a six-man tag team. Nevertheless, this night wasn't about the villains, it was about the heroes and Cena brought home the victory for his fellow brothers and sisters in arms.
