Las Vegas, NV - Britney Spears' initial kick off for her Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino gig has hit a couple of minor bumps in the road. First off, she drew some criticism that she was lip syncing through her show. If true, it may put off some fans given that Spears initially reporting that she would perform all the vocals live.

Bear in mind that she is performing a heavy amount of dancing during her show and somewhere in between those dance routines and singing she will need to breathe. Spears is actually putting on a near theatrical show which includes very elaborate costumes that make singing 100% of the time impractical if not unsafe.

However, now she has drawn criticism that her abs are not for real. In other words, photographs of her abs are said to be photographic enhancements. In her defense, it is customary for performers to use makeup on their abs to enhance the look during a concert to counter-act effects of stage lighting. For her part, Spears is in excellent shape which fact cannot be disputed. Nor is there any word that her performances are anything but high octane and worth the price of admission.
